Bryan McGinness COO

Bryan McGinness
Chief Executive Officer

Bryan McGinness serves as the Chief Executive Officer of WineStyles Tasting Station and oversees the brand’s overall strategic growth and development.

McGinness’ career with WineStyles Tasting Station started in 2006 when the entrepreneur, along with his wife, Andrea, opened a WineStyles location in West Des Moines, Iowa. McGinness was responsible for maintaining high standards of operation including merchandising and executing various marketing and grassroots initiatives, while providing ongoing support to drive traffic and maximize sales for the stores.

In November 2012, the McGinness’ were presented with the opportunity to purchase the entire WineStyles concept from its original owner. Following the acquisition, the husband-and-wife team embarked on a journey to transform the existing concept into the current WineStyles Tasting Station where customers can Taste, Learn and Enjoy® the best in fine wines, artisanal cheeses, chocolates, craft beers, and other gourmet items.

Prior to WineStyles Tasting Station, McGinness spent more than 20 years with the Maytag Corporation where he held multiple positions and served as president of a regional landscaping company for four years.

McGinness lives with his wife Andrea and their three children in Clive, Iowa.

Andrea McGinness
Chief Operating Officer

Andrea McGinness serves as the Chief Operations Officer and oversees all the day-to-day operations of the WineStyles Tasting Station concept.

McGinness’ career with WineStyles Tasting Station began in 2006, when she and her husband, Bryan, opened a WineStyles location in West Des Moines, Iowa. As a first-time franchisee, McGinness was responsible for the store’s daily front-end operations and oversaw all aspects of sales support, staffing and the execution of marketing strategies to drive customer loyalty and ensure brand consistency.

In November 2012, the McGinness’ were presented with the opportunity to purchase the entire WineStyles concept from its original owner. Following the acquisition, Andrea and Bryan launched the rebranding of the existing concept into the current WineStyles Tasting Station. Today, customers can Taste, Learn and Enjoy® the best in fine wines, artisanal cheeses, chocolates, craft beers, and other gourmet items at WineStyles Tasting Stations across the country.

Prior to WineStyles Tasting Station, McGinness spent a number of years as sales manager for a trucking and cellular company and most recently served as operations manager of Canon Computer Systems.

McGinness lives with her husband Bryan and their three children in Clive, Iowa.

Director of Franchise Development

Jeffrey McGinness serves as WineStyles Tasting Station’s Director of Franchise Development where he oversees development and execution of strategies to identify, solicit, recruit and negotiate contracts with qualified franchise candidates. 


Prior to WineStyles Tasting Station, McGinness was a partner with the Cedar Rapids law firm of Simmons, Perrine, Moyer, Bergman, PLC. He began his legal career as an associate at Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon, one of Chicago's largest law firms.

McGinness lives with his wife, Jami, and three children in Iowa City, Iowa.

Julie Gschwend
Director of Marketing

As Director of Marketing for WineStyles Tasting Station, Julie Gschwend is responsible for the creation of the brand’s local and regional marketing efforts and communications programs. She also provides ongoing marketing support for the brand’s growing network of stores.

Prior to joining WineStyles Tasting Station in 2008, Gschwend was a senior account executive at J. Walter Thompson, a global advertising and marketing agency headquartered in New York. While there, she was responsible for developing new marketing strategies and branding recommendations for various national and regional clients.

Gschwend has also served as Director of Marketing of a fine jewelry line of Sixtar, one of the largest fine jewelry manufacturers in North America. In her time there, she handled all aspects of the brand’s marketing strategies, including product development and communications initiatives. In addition, she has also worked as Marketing Manager for Interim Healthcare, a national franchised network of home care, hospice and health staffing services (350 locations). Also served as VP of Advertising and Marketing for one of the largest video retailers in the USA.

Gschwend brings more than 25 years of demonstrated leadership in advertising and marketing to WineStyles Tasting Station.
